My grandmother was a women strongly concerned with health. She's always advised me and my sisters on how to wash our hands, how to keep our bedrooms clean, how to prepare foods for getting all vitamins and minerals from them, or how to stay fit and quickly lose a few pounds whenever necessary. fggfg
Frankly, we didn't need granny's health tips, nor did we listen to her carefully. Today, we are all grown ups with children and responsibilities, and we still remember some of her favorite sayings and even the punishments she'd apply is we didn't behave like true ladies. For example, I can't imagine where she took her info from, but I remember granny giving me advice on how to lose weight by natural methods before my wedding. I was chubby and miserable that I was going to look so ugly when I was supposed to look like a princess. She supervised my diet over two weeks, she prepared my meals, and she gave me some tea to drink after each meal, a tea she said had fat burning properties. I can't recall what herbs she was using to make that tea, but the taste was similar to the green tea I've recently tried in a coffee shop. Granny was so funny when she kept on giving us the example of a friend of hers who became so fat that he had to undergo special weight loss surgery: doctors attached a lap band on his stomach, so he could use only a tiny fraction of it. In this way, he was able to eat only very limited quantities of food at each meal. You can imagine that he decreased from some 300 ponds or so to a normal weight for his age over a couple of years time. I don't know if he had to wear that ring on his stomach for his whole life, but I'm afraid that the answer is positive.Anyway, I don't intend to become as fat as that person, so I'd better closely watch my diet and stay away from changing the size of my clothes every year or so.Whet I've seen with my very eyes and I try to stay away from is liposuction. This is an invasive procedure which removes the fat layer under the skin, thus shaping the areas like belly, buttocks or thighs. I've seen part of such a surgery operation on TV and I'll never forget it: those doctors had some long iron sticks which they were moving under the patient's skin, then the fat was flowing into a big jar. That's horrible and I understood that the post surgery pains are huge. What price some people are willing to pay for being beautiful by the modern standards! I'm not, so I'll just make sure that the calories I eat equal the calories I consume in my daily activities. This is a routine which gives results and prevents you from getting in trouble because of too much fat, when no weight loss diet is the world could save you.
